When you become aware of your sin, know it’s a holy gift to turn from your sin and run into and embrace the generous and unconditional love of a good God.
Repentance is a gift of God’s love, and grace is the power to walk it out. The enemy condemns you or says your sin doesn’t matter.
The Holy Spirit convicts your heart and mind of His nature in you. Conviction reminds us of our value and our sonship.
God disciplines those He loves. However, condemnation is not the discipline of God but the shackles of shame that the enemy uses to bind you to an old nature.
Repentance is changing the way we think an live out, and believing the good news of His Gospel message and recognizing our absolute dependency and inability, agreeing with God’s perspective, and trusting in His gift of grace.
Grace is not just a gift of mercy but His empowering force to walk in the righteousness of God as a son or daughter. May we all come boldly before the throne of grace and obtain His empowerment to walk in our new nature in Christ.
“Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” Hebrews 4:14-16
