I have a feeling that everything that’s going on in our world with the Covid pandemic, and with what is happening in the evangelical, charismatic, pentecostal, and third-wave movements of the church with the prophets and politics, that there is coming a great reset.
It’s a reset back to the main and plain of the glorious Gospel of the Kingdom. From that, I believe, we will see a great awakening, first in the church and then into the world that looks like Jesus with skin on as we begin to serve fully the Lord and his full agenda without mixture.
Some think it’s the end of the world. Yes, as we have known it.
It will look like the mission, message, and ministry of Jesus. The great reset of no more leaven of the Pharisees and Herod, meaning the religious and political spirit that has caused a wall of division and brothers and sisters to call down fire on one another and the world.
There is a fire that we will call upon. It’s a fire of His Holy Spirit. That will be a great awakening, not of judgment, but of his great and glorious gospel that will reset our hearts, minds, and actions so that we will put Jesus on display with love and power.
Yes, I believe in a great reset and a great awakening that will speak louder than any religious or political spirit, or any political candidate or official. The fear of the Lord will eclipse any other fear and will reset and awaken us to only one man, the man Christ Jesus, fully God and fully man.
And the church will not stand as mighty men and women of God on the stage but as servant leaders scattered throughout the world. We will lay our titles and accolades down and take on the servant posture of Jesus. We will not carry out any other agenda than His agenda coming from heaven invading the earth with the message of the gospel of His Kingdom. It is time not for the great men of God to arise, but rather the great God of men to arise.
There will be great fasting and prayer. But it will be the type of fast described in
Isaiah 58:6-12.
“Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen:
to loose the chains of injustice
and untie the cords of the yoke,
to set the oppressed free
and break every yoke?
Is it not to share your food with the hungry
and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter—
when you see the naked, to clothe them,
and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood?
Then your light will break forth like the dawn,
and your healing will quickly appear;
then your righteousness will go before you,
and the glory of the Lord will be your rear guard.
Then you will call, and the Lord will answer;
you will cry for help, and he will say: Here am I.
If you do away with the yoke of oppression,
with the pointing finger and malicious talk,
and if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry
and satisfy the needs of the oppressed,
then your light will rise in the darkness,
and your night will become like the noonday.
The Lord will guide you always;
he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land
and will strengthen your frame.
You will be like a well-watered garden,
like a spring whose waters never fail.
Your people will rebuild the ancient ruins
and will raise up the age-old foundations;
you will be called Repairer of Broken Walls,
Restorer of Streets with Dwellings.”
